Auto glass service area: Cary, NC and the towns around it

Auto glass in Cary, NC from Impex Auto Glass is a mobile service: there is no Impex shop in Cary, and the van comes to the car. This page shows where it goes. It covers all of Cary and the four towns that ring it to the north and south, each with its own page: Apex, Morrisville with Research Triangle Park, Holly Springs and Fuquay-Varina. If your car is parked anywhere in that area, at home or at work, the windshield, door window or back glass can be replaced or repaired where it sits.

Cary itself

Cary is in Wake County, with small parts in Chatham and Durham counties. It borders Raleigh to the north and east, Morrisville and Research Triangle Park to the north, Apex and Holly Springs to the south and the Jordan Lake area to the west. Its roads are I-40 along the north side toward RDU and Raleigh, US 1 and US 64 through the south of town, NC 54 and NC 55, Cary Parkway looping through the middle, and the NC 540 Triangle Expressway along the west, a toll road run by the NC Turnpike Authority with open road tolling.

The service covers the whole town: downtown Cary, the neighborhoods off Cary Parkway, the streets on the NC 540 side toward Jordan Lake and the Chatham County line and the office lots near I-40. The service is the same in every town: the part is checked against your VIN before the visit is booked, Impex says its quotes include delivery, fuel and disposal with no extra fees, and it works with all major insurance providers. The insurance claims page explains how a glass claim usually works in North Carolina.

Roads that keep the van busy

The area is tied together by fast roads. I-40 carries traffic from Cary and Morrisville to RDU, Raleigh and Durham. US 1 and US 64 run south through Cary to Apex. NC 55 links Cary, Apex, Holly Springs and Fuquay-Varina from north to south. And the Triangle Expressway, NC 540, runs from Research Triangle Park down the west side of Cary to Apex and Holly Springs. The Complete 540 project opened about 18 miles of new road from the NC 55 Bypass in Apex to I-40 and US 70 on September 25, 2024, and the second phase toward Knightdale is scheduled to finish in 2028.

Fast roads, new road and work zones mean stones. North Carolina’s load law, G.S. 20-116(g), requires trucks over 7,500 pounds carrying rock, gravel or stone to keep the load six inches below the walls and covered by a tarpaulin. When a stone hits anyway, a chip caught early can usually be filled, so call while it is still small.
